Thank you for your interest in our APL MLP Domestic 60 days Training & Assessments Course (6 weeks in centre training and 6 weeks on the Job training)

Please note that this course is only available for Catt 2 applicants with relevant trade qualifications and a work place portfolio is now required.

We are unable to provide any Portfolio Work Experience with a Gas Safe Registered Engineer, this will need to be provided by your self in order to build your portfolio.

The course consists of 25 days in centre training and 30 days on the job Training alongside your Gas Safe registered engineer while building your Portfolio this is then followed on with five days ACS assessments which will include Domestic CCN1 + 1 Domestic appliance of your choice.

Additional Appliances can be added subject to you providing sufficient portfolio evidence towards that appliance, plus additional costs per appliance will be added.

As proof of APL experience we will require a copy of your NVQ or City & Guilds craft certificate in a trade associated with gas work.

On completion of the APL candidates wishing to extend their range or scope of work must have a minimum of 6 months Gas Safe registration before being able to apply for further Training & Assessments in your required field of work.


A candidate who has under taken the APL MLP with CCN1 + CENWAT can then after 6 months Gas Safe Registration apply to extend his range of work to include other Domestic appliances or to extend his scope of work into other fields IE. LPG, Industrial Commercial Heating or Catering

Course 1

Week 1: 28th September to 2nd October In Training Centre

Week 2: 5th to 9th October, On Job Training & Portfolio

Week 3: 12th to 16th October, In Training Centre

Week 4: 19th to 23rd October, On Job Training & Portfolio

Week 5: 26th to 30th October, In Training Centre

Week 6: 2nd to 6th November, On Job Training & Portfolio

Week 7: 9th to 13th November, In Training Centre

Week 8: 16th to 20th November, On Job Training & Portfolio

Week 9: 23rd to 27th November, In Training Centre (Electrics)

Week 10: 30th November to 4th December, On Job Training & Portfolio

Week 11: 7th to 11th December, In Training Centre (ACS Assessments)

Week 12: 14th to 18th December, On Job Training & Portfolio

Submission of On The Job Portfolio’s

The target date for the submission of all portfolios is 6 months after the course finish date (exact date will be given on booking)

Any submission of portfolios after this date will mean having to re-take the ACS Assessments at the cost for the CCN1 + 4 Initial course at the time.

50% Non Refundable deposit is required on booking No places will be held until this has been received.

Please Note

No Assessment paperwork will be sent off for Certification until full payment has been received and we have received your completed Portfolio

Certification takes up to 6 weeks and no work can be carried out until you have received your certificates in the post.
