Fast Track Certification:

NICEIC can offer an extremely quick “Fast Track” Certification process and download to the Gas Safe Register (GSR) for any Candidate who requires a speedy qualification download, in order to stay Licenced with the GSR, within their area of operation.

The premium charge to Centre’s for this service is an extra £62.50 on top of any Certification fee (which Centre’s can pass on to their Candidate at the Centre’s pre-determined premium rate). Our Standards of Service for Fast Track Certification are 5 working days for the full process, that being from completion of assessment to being certificated/downloaded (excluding time for postage)

Energy Efficiency & Basic Energy Efficiency:

Earlier last year the NICEIC Energy Efficiency Package underwent a complete overhaul to bring it in line with the Domestic Building Compliance Guide , Part L and then it was submitted and approved by Summit Skills, this was the first and is currently the only Energy Efficiency Package to achieve Summit Skills approval. This Package has just undergone a minor update to reflect feedback from centres and the changes in the “very latest version of the Domestic Compliance Guide”. This up-dated package has been built and successfully mapped by Summit Skills to the current NOS for the Technology.

We have also compiled a Basic Energy Efficiency Package for use by Smart Metering operatives or anyone that has to give Basic Energy guidance as part of their role, again this Package is mapped and approved to the NOS for the Technology. (The NOS is the “Function for the role”)

The Basic Energy Efficiency has been mapped by Asset Skills.

Solar Thermal Hot Water & Heat Pumps:

The Solar Thermal and Heat Pump Packages have been up-dated, mapped and approved by Summit Skills to the National Occupational Standards for each Technology (NOS). This is in preparation for the forthcoming changes in the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS), planned for the 16th March 2014 where the new Competency Criteria and assessment are being phased in, applying initially to new certification.

Bio-mass:

Currently NICEIC Certification are developing a Bio-mass Package which will cover all the latest NOS for the Technology and should be available for roll out to Centres from mid 2014.

  1. Free Train the Trainer sessions for Re-newable Technologies are offered for any Centre’s wishing to extend their Centre’s Scope.

NICEIC Focus Group:

The NICEIC Certification Focus Group was established in response to a request to the NICEIC Certification Management Team from Centre Representation on the Certsure Personal Certification Council (PCC).

The Focus Group covers a general agenda where discussion takes place with regards to NICEIC Certification current products and services, plus new packages that are being developed and due for release, also the marketing of NICEIC Centre’s, from these discussions a list of actions is prepared.

The next meeting are scheduled quarterly, so if you have anything that you wish to raise at the meeting please contact Lainey Waddoups in the Chesterfield Certification Office who will forward your request through to the Focus Group Chairman.

The Focus Group now currently consists of:
